Focus is critically important in an environment where accuracy, trust, and efficiency are in the core of a company’s operations. This is how Svea Bank’s agile and client-driven experts in Finland became Focus Tigers.
When building a focus culture, the neuroscience insights and practical mini-tools of Focus Tiger help individuals understand what strengthens and what disrupts their focus. Svea started the Focus Tiger program dedicating just a few minutes a day, complemented by group coaching sessions with our Focus Coaches for all participants.

Who
Svea Bank is a dynamic financial services provider, offering smart, tailored solutions to both businesses and individuals. As part of the broader Svea Bank Group with decades of experience across Europe, the Finnish branch has been supporting clients in managing payments, financing, and financial processes since 2002. With a strong emphasis on digital tools and customer service, Svea helps companies, from startups to established enterprises, stay in control of their cash flow, streamline invoicing, and grow sustainably in a fast-changing market.
Challenges
At the start of Focus Tiger, analysis of the Focus Survey results highlighted the participants’ biggest challenges:
- Messages and interruptions
- Multitasking
- Workload
- Fragmented work and meetings
Since Svea’s experts balance deep, focused work with dynamic client communication, this equation needed to be optimized to keep both clients and experts’ brains functioning at their best.
The Results
In the Focus Tiger Program, Svea’s experts inspired each other, and achieved significant results according to their impact data:
- 95 % reporting having an improved feeling of control over work
- 88 % reporting having reduced multitasking
- 90 % reporting having increased productive work time with at least half an hour per day
“In the processing team working at Svea’s customer interface, email response times became up to 70% faster compared to the previous year thanks to the inspiration from Focus Tiger.
The team planned and distributed tasks in a way that allowed everyone to focus more tightly on their own responsibilities instead of constantly jumping between different tasks.”
– Henna Valtanen, Operations Manager, Svea Bank

Conclusion
Svea’s results show that a big impact is accomplished with small changes when everyone is involved. In addition to the digital Focus Tiger tool, Focus Coaching sessions provided Svea with important spaces to reflect on their focus culture and smart habits together, combining perspectives from different functions, from leadership to tech development and from customer service to HR.
Focus Tiger feedback
“This has been a very good program! The daily tasks have been interesting and concise enough so that it has been pleasant to start the working day with them, and even get a little addicted”
“As someone who lives in a busy phase of life, I could even say that the greater benefit of the lessons learned is reflected at home and in leisure time. My whole family can enjoy it”
