Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Technology Lead – Focus Tiger

We’ve grown profitably to €1M ARR with 30% EBIT without external funding. We are now taking the next major leap in our Focus-as-a-Service product by raising our first funding round and hiring a CTO / Technical Lead to lead our technical team. Our goal is to build an AI-driven product that becomes the go-to tool for focused knowledge workers worldwide.
This is a rare opportunity to build something genuinely innovative and meaningful in a high-impact role. As CTO / Technical Lead, you’ll join an ambitious, sales-driven team of business leaders, neuroscientists, and psychologists.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve the full technical architecture across our multi-platform product — Slack, Teams, backend services, and our learning platform.
- Evolve Focus Tiger into a fully AI-driven product, transforming our neuroscience-based method into a daily coaching experience for knowledge workers.
- Develop scalable, secure infrastructure that supports enterprise customers and rapid product growth.
- Ensure seamless user experiences across different platforms with minimal custom UI, relying heavily on messaging frameworks and smart automation.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a small, high-performance engineering team, keeping execution fast, lean, and focused on outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on backend engineering skills, ideally with Python and modern web frameworks.
- Experience building products that leverage LLMs or AI-driven functionality
- Comfort working with platform-based products, such as Slack/Teams integrations or similar ecosystems.
- Ability to run production infrastructure end-to-end — deployments, monitoring, reliability, and security best practices.
- A startup builder mindset — ownership, speed, curiosity, and excitement to lead both the code and the team behind it.
