Welcome to Focus Tiger. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

These Terms govern your use of Focus Tiger’s websites, applications, bots, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Focus Tiger is a product operated by SILTA Education Oy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Account Registration

You may need to create an account or authorize access through platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials
  • Ensuring all account information is accurate
  • Any activity under your account

3. License to Use the Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or authorized business purposes.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful or harmful purposes
  • Interfere with the Service’s functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Use automated systems without permission

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. Privacy & Data Use

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By installing or using our Slack application, you authorize Focus Tiger to access and process certain information from your Slack workspace as permitted by the permissions (scopes) you approve during installation. We only request the minimum necessary scopes to provide our core functionality.

We may collect and process information such as:

  • User ID, team ID, and workspace metadata
  • Messages you send to the Focus Tiger bot or app
  • Goal?setting and usage activity

We do not access or store general Slack messages or workspace content outside of interactions with our app.

You can revoke our access at any time via Slack’s app management dashboard. If you remove the app, associated tokens are automatically revoked.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and technology related to the Service belong to Focus Tiger or its licensors. You may not use them without permission.

7. Payment & Subscriptions

For paid plans, you agree to:

  • Pay all applicable fees
  • Authorize recurring billing when applicable
  • Provide accurate payment information

Payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Create risk or legal exposure for us

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Focus Tiger is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

11. Third-Party Services & Slack Integration

The Service integrates with third?party platforms such as Slack. By using our Slack application, you agree to comply with Slack’s terms and policies.

We comply with Slack’s App Developer Policy and App Marketplace Requirements. Our application only uses the data and permissions granted by you to operate the service.

Slack is not responsible for the Service or these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, unless otherwise required by applicable laws.

13. Data Security & Retention

We implement industry?standard security measures to protect your data. We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

14. GDPR and EU User Rights

As a company operating in the European Union, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Request data portability
